Pechanga Resort & Casino hosts meetings in Temecula, a land of rolling hills and California sunshine just an hour from Orange County and the city attractions of San Diego and Los Angeles.
The AAA Four Diamond Award winner offers 522 spacious rooms, including 84 suites, all with over-sized beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, his-and-hers closets, and high-speed Internet connection.
Well known for conventions and special events, the property spans 110 acres and includes 60,000 square feet of outdoor event space plus 40,000 square feet indoors. The Grand Ballroom, located on the ground floor of the 14-story hotel tower, measures 22,000 square feet under 25-foot ceilings. A convenient loading dock and curbside drop-off and pick-up facilitate trade shows as well as business presentations for up to 2,000 attendees and banquets for up to 1,800. For breakout sessions, the Grand Ballroom divides into thirds.
A second ballroom, The Eagle’s View, rests high atop the hotel tower. Its 2,706 square feet treat groups of up to 250 to glorious views of the Temecula Valley.
Both ballrooms open to generous foyers leading to multiple rooms for breakouts. Just off the Grand Ballroom, Hummingbird Hall adds a state-of-the- art 120-seat teleconferencing center, which, like many of the meeting rooms, has a built-in projection screen and speakers, two microphone inputs, multiple Internet and phone access points, and wireless Web capability.
The resort’s Amphitheater Showroom provides an added dimension for meeting planners needing stadium seating for an audience of up to 1,200, a full stage, lighting, and sound production capabilities. The theater regularly stages Broadway-style plays and musicals such as Grease, A Chorus Line, and Moulin Rouge as well as concerts by the likes of Julio Iglesias, Chicago, and B.B. King. While such special events regularly mark the calendar, casino action takes place year-round, 24 hours a day. California’s largest gaming space—188,000 square feet— comes with 2,000 state-of-the-art slot machines, 162 table games, and a 54-table poker room. After dark, more good times roll at the top floor’s Eagle’s Nest Lounge and an ultramodern dance club, Silk.
The dining options range from a wide selection of casual fare to gourmet menus at seven restaurants. When not dining, gaming, meeting, and celebrating with colleagues, participants can lounge on the sundeck, swim in the pool, work out at the health club, indulge in spa treatments, visit more than 25 local wineries, or play golf at a choice of eight championship courses nearby.
